Rolf Just Nilsen (1931-1981)

Norwegian comedian

Rolf Just Nilsen was a Norwegian comedian with an incredible ability to imitate politicians, colleagues and other celebrities.
Einar Gerhardsen, John Lyng and Bent Røiseland were some of his victims. He was never malicious. None of the persons Nilsen caricatured ever felt defamed. Quite the contrary.

Chat Noir

Rolf Just Nilsen started his career at Studioteatret, but his love of revue theatre led to an engagement at Chat Noir from 1952 until 1959.

Norwegian films

Nilsen returned again later after a spell at Edderkoppen, and subsequently joined the ensemble at Det Norske Teatret. For a number of years he also belonged to the Oslo Nye Teater's team of capable actors. Rolf Just Nilsen also appeared in Norwegian films, such as "Himmel of Hav", "To pa top" and "Alle tiders kupp".
