The Belgian artist Jacky Duyck is one of the rare artists who made their profession out of art and who always followed their own path, regardless of every fashion in the world of art. Jacky Duyck always looked for different forms of expression, never unfaithful to himself. Jacky Duyck has his studio in Dilbeek.

Traces of life

As an archaeologist, Jacky Duyck is looking for traces of life. The silence in these paintings is not so much the idyllic peace of a world in movement, which has found quietness. The individual "I" has no other choice than to loose himself, confronted with this unreachable yet recognisable world. It is exactly in this sliding that mankind finds him- or herself, even more completely. Together with the artist, we move towards a life of truth.
